Requirements

  • A Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program by Summer of 2024 in these majors:
  • City and Regional Planning
  • Urban Planning
  • Transportation Planning
  • Or Other Related Major
  • Strong writing/verbal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oreinted team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work indenpendently and as a team
  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView

Responsibilities

  • Support transportation planning activities that may include preparing:
  • Transportation mobility plans
  • Multimodal corridor analyses
  • Transit studies
  • Pedestrian and bicycle studies
  • MPO studies including Long Range Transportation Plans (LRTPs)
  • Complete street guides
  • Public engagement
  • Mapping and cartography
  • Report production
