Responsibilities

  • Work in a 35-bed acute care facility
  • Coverage in ED with 9 treatment spaces, ICU with 4 beds, and Med Surg with 20 beds
  • Care for patients with conditions including Sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, Trauma, Stroke
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios: ED (1:3-4), ICU (1:1-2 dependent on acuity/age), Med Surg (1:5 dependent on acuity/age)
  • Utilize EPIC for charting
  • May float between ED, Med Surg, and ICU as needed
  • Support includes a charge nurse (hospital coordinator), phlebotomy, Respiratory Therapy, and hospitalists with APP coverage at nights
  • Weekend rotation every other weekend
  • No on-call obligations
  • Holiday work every other season
  • Ability to approve up to 7 days off; contract extension required for each week off
  • Dress code requires Navy Blue scrubs
