The position offers ample opportunities to participate in Quality Improvement projects and Research, along with regular formal teaching sessions and a journal club.
What types of surgeries will I be involved with?
You will provide anaesthesia for both elective and emergency surgeries in a variety of theatres, including main operating theatres, day-surgery theatres, and an obstetric theatre.
What is the working schedule for the Trust Doctor in Anaesthetics?
The Trust Doctor will have access to the CEPOD theatre and obstetric theatre 24 hours a day, with a resident anaesthetic consultant available from 8 am to 6 pm on weekdays and part of the day on weekends.
Will I receive support in my role?
Yes, you will be provided with essential resources to support you in your duties, including administrative support.
How often will my job plan be reviewed?
Your job plan will be reviewed after three months of appointment and then annually to ensure it remains a perfect fit for your needs.
Is travel expected in this role?
Yes, travel to other sites within the Trust is anticipated to allow for full teaching experience.
