Responsibilities

  • The Performance and Risk Team sit at the heart of UKStratCom Headquarters Strategic Centre, which is lead by 1* Deputy Director Plans and Portfolio Management.
  • The team is responsible for setting clear Performance and Risk Management direction and guidance for all Higher Level Budgets (HLB) units within UKStratCom.
  • The team organise and facilitate the 4* Performance and Risk board within the HQ, to support the Holding to Account process.
  • They are responsible for collating and analysing performance and risk data from each HLB area, to provide clear and concise reporting for UKStratCom senior leaders and MOD Head Office.
  • The role within Performance and Risk Team will support in collating inputs and producing documentation.
  • It should ensure that templates and guidance are produced and kept current and accurate.
  • The role will hold secretariat responsibilities of the Performance and Risk board by organising meetings and managing stakeholder attendance.
  • It will provide support to the Holding to Account process.
  • You will also act as the main point of contact for queries and ensure efficient communication flow.
  • You will have the opportunity to suggest innovative IT solutions to improve analysis and data presentation to influence high level decision making.
  • Communications – Be the main point of contact for drafting and distributing key communications, direction, and standards.
  • This responsibility includes effective stakeholder engagement across all teams (from Head Office through to individual business units).
  • Maintenance and upkeep of artefacts – Management of all distribution lists, Multiuser email accounts and maintain templates to support all reporting requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to remain up to date with all personnel changes both within UKStratCom and across the wider MOD in relation to each teams’ activities.
  • Where possible suggesting improvements such as automation to improve ways of working.
  • SharePoint – Ownership of the SharePoint site.
  • This will include responsibility for maintaining and updating content in line with departmental guidance.
  • The post holder will successfully manage the team site, including managing access permissions and labelling documents appropriately.
