  • Hours: 40 hours per week. The role will consist of 20 hours dedicated to PCA duties and 20 hours for Receptionist responsibilities.
  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday between 08.00 - 19.00 and will also include a share in the Saturday rota 08.30 - 14.30

  • - An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • - Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • - Experience in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling and a high level of understanding of how to meet the welfare needs of animals
  • - Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • - Previous Receptionist experience would be preferable but not essential
  • - A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • - Experience in looking after animals in a veterinary environment would be desirable

Responsibilities

  • - Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests
  • - Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking payments and dealing with enquiries
  • - Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system, so good IT skills would be preferable
  • - Cleaning duties are involved
  • - Animal handling
  • - Assisting Vets and Nurses in restraining animals for treatment
  • - Cleaning, walking and feeding patients
