  • We’re looking for someone with great commercial skills to deliver appropriate solutions to clients that are profitable for the bank. With strong collaboration skills, you’ll have a track record of working with others to deliver complex transactions for clients and the ability to work effectively and engagingly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You’ll also need:
  • Experience in credit underwriting, financial modelling and financial statement analysis, with strong accounting skills and knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to speak, write and read fluently in English
  • The ability to be detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • A practical understanding and application of risk management disciplines
  • A proven ability to deliver to stretching transaction deadlines
  • Experience of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a wide range of financing solutions to private equity clients, as well as sponsor-owned corporates across Europe, we act as the Centre of Excellence for the origination and delivery of complex and event-driven transactions for the European Leveraged Finance market. In this key role, you’ll be working on transactions with colleagues from Frankfurt, London, Paris and Amsterdam.
  • You’ll also provide support to senior originators in building and maintaining the business with a defined set of clients, while providing strong execution capability. Developing a strong network of relationships with coverage and credit management teams to grow our finance business, you’ll be identifying new opportunities to expand the scope and profitability of the franchise.
  • Through the course of your work, you’ll also be:
  • Preparing first class analysis, pitch materials, term sheets, post transaction reviews and other documentation to support the origination effort
  • Looking for opportunities to expand the scope and profitability of NatWest by identifying and originating new opportunities from existing relationships or developing new profitable relationships in a timely manner
  • Focusing on originating, structuring and executing Leveraged Finance deals in the European market, working on transactions across a broad range of sectors and asset classes
  • Developing a strong network of relationships with Coverage, Product, Credit and Portfolio Management in order to grow and sustain the Leveraged Finance business
  • Developing a strong network of relationships across Structured Finance to enable all aspects of capability to be considered in the context of client requirements
