What is the main purpose of the Virtual Wards Onboarding Nurse role?
The main purpose of the role is to support the safe admission and monitoring of patients onto the Virtual Wards, providing acute care in the comfort of their own homes while reducing pressure on acute care settings.
How long is the rotation period for this position?
The position includes three-month rotations between two areas, with six months spent in each area.
Where will the nurses be working?
Nurses will work across all ICHT sites and also with colleagues at the NWL Virtual Hospital based at St. Charles Hospital.
What kind of care will the nurses provide?
Nurses will carry out planned care for a group of patients, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based individualised patient care.
What skills or qualifications are required for this role?
