Responsibilities

  • Each Visual Merchandiser is responsible for the design and execution of product layouts in B&Q stores in the UK and Ireland, ensuring that those layouts deliver the needs of the B&Q customer and UK Market.
  • Customer Insights: Dive deep into how our customers shop and the projects they undertake, both in-store and online, by analysing customer insights and market trends.
  • Product Knowledge: Master our product range and understand how each item can benefit our customers.
  • Store Operations: Gain a thorough understanding of store operations to simplify processes for our store teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Visual Merchandising (VM) and Commercial teams, ensuring the needs of B&Q’s customers are central to planning and layout development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead by learning from other businesses to continually enhance Visual Merchandising at B&Q.
  • VM Principles: Define and update clear VM principles using commercial tools, aligning them with the overall commercial strategy.
  • Innovative Design: Create innovative product layouts and solutions, from initial concepts to physical construction and store implementation.
  • Consistent Layouts: Ensure product layouts adhere to brand guidelines, are easy and safe for customers and store teams, inspire shoppers, and maximize sales and margin returns.
