Responsibilities

  • Provide a reception service - handling initial enquiries, gathering basic information and taking initial action, within defined protocols, to assist in resolving any queries.
  • Keep staff informed of admissions and discharges, and ensure queries from other members of staff and members of the public are dealt with appropriately, either in person or on the telephone.
  • Answer calls in a polite manner, ensuring all relevant messages are relayed to the appropriate team
  • Greet all visitors to the ward in a helpful and polite manner
  • Maintain accurate admission, transfer and discharge information on EPIC system.
  • Assist to improve patient experience questionnaire compliance.
  • Enter patient details as required into the EPIC system
