Responsibilities

  • Process and complete various work-related injury documents such as state specific forms, wage statements, treatment referral authorization forms.
  • Assist frontline management with reporting new work-related incidents, answering general work-injury incident questions, setting next-step expectations; initiating contact with injured workers, and determining appropriate next actions for each case.
  • Prepare, review, edit, access, and manage a wide range of legal documents, files, records, and correspondence of a confidential and privileged nature, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
  • Create, maintain, and update files according to established internal departmental procedures to ensure that accurate data is kept on claims status; update record to show claims information at various stages of processing.
  • Utilize computer software and/or claims-related information systems to perform duties.
  • Obtain work status information from the treating physicians, update management of changes/updates, documenting file.
  • Update and maintain accurate restricted-duty and off-work logs for OSHA reporting.
  • Assist injured workers by answering questions, directing them to appropriate stakeholders depending on need/request, recognizing situations that need escalation and handling off timely.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external partners.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support by working daily assigned tasks.
