We are the largest business & finance society at the University of Manchester, and we pride ourselves on bringing together like-minded students and professionals in a practical and career-focused environment. The University of Manchester boasts one of the largest student bodies in the UK giving us extensive exposure to students across various degree backgrounds such as STEM, Business, and Economics.
As one of the most active societies on campus, we run weekly meetings for our members and host various events such as trading simulations, stock pitch competitions and networking events.
Our Banking and Global Finance Group consists of informative and interactive sessions every week introducing the members to the ‘Fundamentals of Investment Banking’ and provide guidance on completing successful ‘Banking Applications’ for insights, internships, placements, and graduate schemes.
Our MUTIS Ethical Investment Fund (MEIF) is a student-led and managed global equity fund which follows a bottom-up investment process. MEIF provides students with hands-on experience in investing and running a diversifies portfolio with sectors teams for Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), consumer products, energy, financials, and industrials.
Our Future of Finance Conference Series extends beyond the current scenario in the world of finance by fostering discussion around pertinent topics in finance. This year, the themes for our upcoming conferences are: ‘Women in Finance’, ‘Decoding the Digital Revolution in Finance’, ‘The Crypto Conference’, and ‘ESG in Finance’.
