 An exciting new vacancy has arisen within the sales department at Elland, serving the valve industry with brands going back two centuries of manufacturing.
 
 The Role:
 <ul>
 <li> Office based within the Sales office at the Elland, West Yorkshire facility</li>
 <li> To assess technical and commercial enquiries from customers prior to preparation and to ensure that the best technically and commercially sound offer is proposed</li>
 <li> To work with the external sales teams distributors/agents to secure orders from customers in the region</li>
 <li> Correctly interpret customer’s requirements and offer an appropriate solution from the product range</li>
 <li> Coordinate with various internal departments to meet customers’ requirements</li>
 <li> Develop an excellent working relationship with both existing and potential customers, noting that this is not a development role, so no cold calling.</li>
 <li> Full product training will be given.</li>

 The Requirements:
 <ul>
 <li> We are flexible on your industry background/experience, but ideally want someone with mechanical engineering exposure. Full training will be provided, any technical or engineering knowledge would be an advantage.</li>
 <li> Well organised, team player, have the ability to work well alone as well.</li>
 <li> Excellent communication skills.</li>
 <li> Enthusiastic, eager to learn about our products and how to effectively quote for our customer needs.</li>
 <li> Valve/process industry experience will be an advantage, not essential as will provide training and support.</li>
 <li> A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering – Apprenticeship, BTEC/ ONC/ HNC/ HND Degree or similar will be an advantage.</li>
 <li> No sales experience required, be customer driven; any experience/exposure to working in a similar role would be advantageous</li>
