Responsibilities

  • The Distribution Operations Intern is responsible for publishing reports, resolving operational issues, and supporting/leading projects within the Distribution space that will drive improvement to process and metrics.
  • Owner and publication of daily/weekly reports in support of proactive issue resolution for our network of Distribution Centers. Automation through use of Excel VBA or power BI is also supported where opportunities are identified within each report
  • Support daily Deliver Control Tower between Customer Logistics, Distribution/3PL and Transportation Teams
  • Support of performance management data compilation
  • Daily operational support to resolve real-time issues at each Distribution Center through collaboration with internal/external partners and interfacing systems (SAP, Warehouse Management System)
  • Identify and implement automated solutions in an effort to streamline manual activities across the team and department
  • Ad hoc project leadership and support for both internal department and cross-functional initiatives
