Requirements

  • - Successful completion of the 2024 IBM Sales Intern Program.
  • - Registered undergraduate university student (rising Junior or rising Senior) OR Registered graduate university student for Fall 2024.
  • - Bachelor’s degree with a STEM major and/or minor OR Bachelor’s degree attained and pursuing a master’s degree with a STEM major and/or minor.
  • - Client Focused: Asks open-ended questions and understands needs to address business challenges.
  • - Team Player: Demonstrates team collaboration and can navigate different communication styles.
  • - Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that are engaging, compelling and influential.

Responsibilities

  • - Sales Prospecting: Apply IBM’s sales methodology to identify new clients and opportunities for expansion with existing clients through multiple channels (email, phone, social media)
  • - Solution-Selling: Learn and employ solution-selling techniques to identify and engage decision makers and influencers, qualify business opportunities, and respond to clients' needs.
  • - Use-Case and Proof of Concept Design: Work with your team to design use-cases and proofs of concept in response to prospective clients' requests for information (RFIs).
  • - Customer Engagement and Support: Act as a technical point of contact for customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback. Provide technical support and offer guidance on solution best practices and use cases.
  • - Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to assess their potential impact on solution design and implementation.
