Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Corporate Communications team within the Marketing & Communications department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Write and edit communications materials, including press releases, media alerts, thought leadership, social media content and other communications documents
  • Monitor the media and pull relevant news articles for internal distribution
  • Build media lists for pitching news media and pitch the news media on relevant topics and campaigns
  • Assist with fielding media queries and draft media statements
  • Write blog posts for Navy Federal's Blog
  • Write articles for sponsored content partnerships
  • Work on influencer campaigns (idea generation, content development)
  • Develop messaging briefs for subject matter expects before media interviews and speaking engagements
  • Create integrated communication strategies and messaging for broader marketing campaigns
  • Use multiple public relations systems and software
  • Write acceptance/denial letters to members asking for charitable donations and processing checks
  • Assist in messaging to use for member resolution cases
  • Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
  • Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
  • Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
  • May provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
