Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain assigned leagues, tournaments, and/or special events.
  • Lead and/or assist with assigned sport officials training.
  • Inventory equipment, regularly check storage cleanliness, and move equipment to competition sites.
  • Collect monthly Intramural Sport participant numbers and other assessment-related projects.
  • Shadow staff and participant disciplinary & accountability meetings.
  • Maintain the Intramural Sport email and communicate with participants regularly.
  • Audit sport rules and participant/staff manuals.
  • Assist with departmental goals and initiatives related to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
  • Evening and weekend work will be expected on a semi-regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with NIRSA-specific tasks or hosting special events.
  • Assist with departmental goals and initiatives surrounding DEIB.
  • Lead part-time, intramural staff discussions on Risk Management, Conflict Resolution, etc.
  • Attend and assist with Duke Recreation & Physical Education special events.
