What are the main responsibilities of the Laboratory Administration Assistant?
The main responsibilities include data entry, issuing laboratory reports, handling telephone enquiries, and performing other administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the Genetics Laboratory.
What qualifications are required for this role?
The successful candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database software, and ideally some previous office experience.
Is training provided for this position?
Yes, full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
What are the typical working hours for this position?
The laboratory is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and the part-time work pattern is typically between the hours of 9am-5pm.
Can I request a flexible working pattern?
Yes, requests for flexible working patterns may be considered.
Who will I be reporting to in this position?
The post holder will work independently under the supervision of the Senior Staff.
Will this role involve liaising with other healthcare professionals?
Yes, the post holder will liaise with other administrative staff, health care professionals, and administrative and managerial staff within the Trust as well as other Genetics centres in the UK and abroad.
