What is the purpose of the Discovery Diversity Programme?
The Discovery Diversity Programme is designed to assess and provide an opportunity for students from underrepresented groups, who are 2 years out from graduation, to apply for Summer Internships in 2026 before other candidates.
When will the programme take place?
The programme will take place on April 9th and 10th, 2025.
Is the programme in-person or virtual?
The programme is in-person.
What can participants expect to learn during the programme?
Participants can expect to learn about financial services, their chosen business area, the recruitment process, and insights into Barclays as an employer.
Will there be networking opportunities during the programme?
Yes, there will be dedicated networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates aligned to the participants' chosen business area.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
Applicants must be 2 years out from graduation and can be studying any degree discipline.
Who is encouraged to apply for the programme?
Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, especially those who identify with Barclays' 6 Intersectional DE&I agendas, including Disability, Gender, LGBT+, Multicultural, Multigenerational, and Socio-Economic.
Do I need to have the legal right to work in the UK for the Summer Internship?
Yes, Barclays requires applicants for this position to have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the 2026 Summer Internship Programme.
Will I receive any financial support for attending the programme?
No, Barclays does not provide sponsorship to attend the 2-day insight programme.
