  • Preferred:
  • One or more years of internship experience
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Overall understanding of fundamental finance and possess accounting acumen
  • Organized, resourceful and capable of working with ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Have an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Committed to learning new skills and open to work within different business and subject areas
  • Required:
  • Desire to learn about and engage with various roles and responsibilities of a life and retirement insurance company
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and asset management.
  • Candidates who have excelled in their previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytic, quantitative, interpersonal and communication skills, and are enthusiastic about the asset management industry.
  • Candidate for Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree at a top university or college no later than August 2023.
  • Minimum 3.2 grade point average (unofficial transcript required upon application).
  • Candidate for bachelor’s degree to be received no later than June 2024
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week; 2-3 days in the office per week
  • Bold thinkers with an entrepreneurial spirit and who possess a powerful blend of IQ (technical skills, consistent learning, statistical and financial acumen) and EQ (adaptive communication, empathy, listening skills, confidence).
  • Diverse background of experience, culture and thought.
  • Successful candidates typically possess a global perspective, a record of successful teamwork, keen market interest and superior academic performance.
  • Accounting and financial skills are beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Providing key reporting and analytics support, reviewing business performance, driving planning and forecasting efforts, and building operating budgets
  • Performing controllership activities that deliver required Corebridge consolidated financial reporting, providing tax advisory, planning, accounting, compliance, and analytics for a variety of tax and financial issues
  • Improving financial management systems and information, contributing to process improvement or savings initiatives, and participating in finance projects
  • Developing and updating reports on capital, forecast, cash flows, funding and liquidity, reviewing business metrics and performing competitive intelligence
