  • To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months relevant experience and have a degree or are expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Rock and Soil Engineering
  • In your application you should be able to demonstrate your interest in the role and working at Mott MacDonald through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.
  • We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:
  • Methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail demonstrated through accurate technical models and report writing.

Responsibilities

  • Our graduate tunnel engineers work in world class teams to design and deliver sustainable solutions. As the digital revolution is applied to improve the way we live and work, engineering design will play a central role in creating smart infrastructure, helping to deliver better social and climate outcomes.
  • Join us as graduate tunnel engineer in either our Croydon or Reading office and you will have the option to work across the following sectors:
  • Transport (Rail, Metro, Highways)
  • Energy (power supply and distribution)
  • Water (fresh water supply and wastewater management)
  • You will learn skills in tunnel planning, design, and construction in all conditions from soft ground to hard rock, and different construction methodologies such as TBM, SCL, Drill and Blast. The range of services we provide to clients includes planning advice, feasibility studies, technical design and design management; the wide range of services is delivered by a team with diverse skills, from management to technical design.
