Responsibilities

  • You will either assist Project Managers on the delivery of large projects, or manage your own smaller, more straight-forward, lower risk projects.
  • You will be involved in the project delivery process from initial strategic planning, through to feasibility, detailed design and then into construction and handover.
  • You’ll develop skills in project, commercial, contract and risk management and will become involved in a range of activities such as data management, researching background on flood risk areas, setting up new projects, using systems and processes to help manage projects, attend site visits and public exhibition meetings.
  • You will learn how to apply legislation, policy and guidance.
  • The ability to develop a network of relationships with internal and external colleagues and liaise with local communities and landowners to agree land access, share proposals and gain consents will be vital.
  • You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.
  • This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
