What qualifications do I need to apply for the Critical Care Nurse position?
You need to have recent experience in adult acute care in a hospital setting and/or previous experience in an adult critical care environment.
Is there a training program available for new hires?
Yes, we will support you in completing the CC3N STEP 1 foundation programme for Critical Care as part of your training.
How many patients will I be responsible for at a time?
You will be working in a 5 bedded Critical Care Unit, providing care to multiple patients as part of a team.
Will I be required to work night shifts?
Yes, rotation onto night duties is a requirement of the role.
What types of specialities will I encounter in the Critical Care Unit?
You will care for a variety of specialities, including reconstructive plastic surgery, reconstructive head & neck cancer surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and major burn patients requiring HDU/ITU level of care.
Is there an opportunity for professional development in this role?
Yes, we offer wonderful development opportunities, including simulation training, educational development days, and completion of CCU competencies.
