The primary role of a Critical Facilities Technician is to ensure the optimal functioning of the mechanical and electrical systems of the data center, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted service for customers.
What type of systems will I be working with in this position?
You will work with critical systems such as UPSs, PDUs, diesel generators, automatic transfer equipment, building controls, HVAC systems, and industrial chillers.
What are the physical demands of this job?
The physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, smell, talk, hear, use hands for typing and handling, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Is previous experience required for this role?
Yes, practical experience of at least three years, preferably five, in maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems is required.
