Balfour Beatty is seeking a dedicated and skilled Design Manager (Offsite Utilities), to join our amazing Major projects team to work at our iconic Old Oak Common development in London.

HS2s new c. 1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UKs best-connected rail 
station once completed. Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London.

The construction of the HS2 station&rsquo;s heavy civils infrastructure is nearing completion here at the Old Oak Common site, baseline detailed design is accepted by the client and the appointment of the suppliers to build the integrated station is nearing completion.

Prior to the station and railway being built, the complex network of existing utilities in the station approach road need to be realigned and replaced to support the future station and local communities.

As a Design Manager (Offsite Utilities) at Balfour Beatty, you'll play a key role in the civils works related to utilities diversion.

Your involvement will be in the timely delivery of quality assured designs by the consultants, in coordination with the construction teams, stakeholders and in agreement with utility companies and their acceptance processes. Incorporation of changes in a dynamic environment will be the main challenge of this post.

Key responsibilities will be:

<li>Manage the coordination between design and construction teams, subcontractors and utility companies</li>
<li>Support the Engineering, BIM and Technical Assurance (sub) teams to achieve Code 1 Acceptance of all Design Deliverables</li>
