Responsibilities

  • - Direct supervision of sheet metal/ duct fabrication and installation works on board ships and in the workshop.
  • - Support various types of cladding fabrication and installation works.
  • - Coordinate with project team for identifying the job scope and timely highlighting of discrepancies from owner specifications / tenders.
  • - Prepare daily time sheets for the team and make sure overtime hours are controlled well.
  • - Ensure optimum use of resources and adequate control on wastage of materials/consumables.
  • - Prepare job turn over for next shift and prepare daily progress reports for job done under his supervision.
  • - Liaise with other discipline Foremen / Supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
  • - Assist the Sr. Foremen in planning activities and ensure that resource and manpower planning is carried out to meet project requirements.
  • - Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order.
  • - Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
  • - Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the Supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
  • - Work as a team leader responsible for development / motivation of sub-ordinates, on the job training and performance appraisal of the team members.
