Responsibilities

  • the analysis, entry, and upload processes of employment data into Banner
  • ensuring accuracy of data and reconciliation of information
  • responding to inquiries from employees and departmental personnel
  • serves as a primary point-of-contact
  • assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
  • handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take
  • interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices at the direction of the HRIS Manager
  • Review, validate and process all documents (electronic and paper) that initiate and support any action impacting hires and/or employment actions in a timely and accurate matter
  • Audit and reconcile error reports from transaction entries when applicable
  • Work closely with HR areas, Payroll and university departments to ensure accuracy and timely payroll processing
  • Monitor the departmental inbox and respond to inquiries regarding HRIS data
  • Create positions numbers for per diem, temporary and student employees
  • Upload personnel documents into OnBase, document management system
  • Work with users to troubleshoot Electronic Personnel Action Forms and Labor Redistributions
  • Educate internal/external clients on best practices and system updates
  • Coordinate with IT to resolve HR system matters/concerns
  • Process HR system access requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
