Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Assistant Director of the Division of Behavioral Health and Housing, position is responsible for serving as the agency's lead for justice initiatives including reach-in programs, pre and post release targeted case management and care coordination for members being released from incarceration. This position will be responsible for independent decision-making related to work assignments as well as leading groups of professionals through consensus-based decision making to ensure united focus on programmatic goals. This position will be responsible for day-to-day decision making and program implementation to ensure that assigned projects are implemented in accordance with Agency and work team guidance.
  • Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Monitoring and evaluating compliance of health plans with Justice Reach-In requirements including the development of data reporting and performing data analysis to validate health plan compliance and to determine impact on member health outcomes. Development of new accountability requirements for health plans through contract, policy and deliverables.
  • Development and implementation of Waiver requests and other new authority requests as directed by executive leadership including the implementation, operationalization and evaluation of new authorities specific to justice-involved individuals such as the development of contract, policies and deliverables and monitoring health plan compliance.
  • Project management and meeting facilitation cross agency and with external stakeholders. Provision of technical assistance to health plans, providers and other stakeholders including trouble-shooting specific member issues. Participating or facilitating speaking engagements and stakeholder engagement. Maintaining website for justice initiatives.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with justice partners and acting as the AHCCCS representative and in cross agency work groups and/or external meetings on local and national platforms.
  • Serves as the AHCCCS Justice involved Subject Matter Expert and provides regular status updates on reach-in and re-entry programming with executive leadership.
