Requirements

  • Successfully complete an undergraduate degree between December 2023 - June 2024.
  • Ideally, you would also have:
  • Have a GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • A strong interest in business and finance, though no specific major is required
  • Resourcefulness, team-orientation, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated through participation in extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

  • At the start of your analyst experience, you’ll spend several weeks in intensive training covering product and business knowledge as well as essential skills you’ll need for a successful start. Then you’ll join the Public Finance team as a generalist. Initially you’ll work with dedicated and experienced colleagues across industries to find solutions for clients. Within six months of starting, you’ll become a member of a specific group and work on assignments within your industry. You may:
  • Help prepare and execute live transactions
  • Prepare marketing materials, from basic product pitches to extensive responses and proposal requests
  • Perform cash flow analyses to evaluate debt financing alternatives
  • Update credit models and debt profiles for covered sectors
  • Research and analyze market data to share insights with clients
  • Field and respond to client inquiries.
  • During the analyst program, you’ll also:
  • Participate in formal and informal training designed to give you the knowledge you need when you need it
  • Receive detailed performance coaching and feedback
  • Have opportunities to expand your network and develop leadership skills.
  • Your role as a Public Finance analyst will provide you with the skills and experience needed for a successful career in the world of finance. The analyst program will help provide a visible path to the necessary steps for promotion to assistant vice president and the tools to get you there.
