Responsibilities

  • To provide a point of contact for the staff and patients across the Trust requiring the support and services of the wider Facilities Directorate, and to assist members of the Facilities Directorate with a range of administrative and clerical support.
  • To act as a point of contact for enquiries from patients, staff and visitors and deal sensitively with any matters that may arise and ensure that urgent matters are drawn to the attention of relevant staff quickly and accurately.
  • To provide cover of both Reception and Switchboard as and when required.
  • Dealing with enquiries from patients, visitors, and staff in an efficient and polite manner.
  • Ordering taxis for Patients, Staff and Departments.
  • To ensure that the Main Reception and Public areas surrounding the Department are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • To take responsibility for all incoming general enquiries and tasks received into the Facilities Directorate and ensure those enquiries are dealt with in the most appropriate way.
  • To support the Facilities Directorate with ordering and invoicing via the Trust’s procurement system (currently SBS).
  • Security / Incident / Fire - Respond to emergencies by following the appropriate Trust's procedures on activation of the relevant equipment to alert Emergency Teams on the Sutton site.
