  • We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team on the medical day unit and outpatient department at Cavendish Square.
  • It is expected that you will be an experienced oncology nurse who demonstrates competence in SACT administration/Venepuncture/Cannulation and feels confident in supporting others with these skills.
  • Following appropriate training, have specific responsibility within Outpatient’s and MDU for those patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy treatment.
  • This includes the administration of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT).
  • To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
  • To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
