  • Expansion of the Consultant numbers now provides a high level of supervision and training across a range of elective sub specialties
  • These include burns, trauma, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, sarcoma surgery, paediatric plastic surgery, skin malignancy, and head and neck surgery
  • The weekday on-call service in the day (08:00 – 17:30) is supported through a team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners taking referrals and a Physician’s Associate assisting in ward tasks
  • This system frees up time for additional training opportunities
