Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role within the marine industry, with a shown expertise in the design, implementation, and management of electro-technical systems for hybrid propulsion applications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluency in English and Italian is required
  • Familiarity in coordinating the integration of power management systems with other hybrid propulsion components, such as electric motors, generators, and energy storage solutions
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and diverse team, including colleagues from other countries
  • Willingness to travel frequently in Italy and abroad

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical project lifecycle from conception to delivery, including design, development, testing, and deployment for project of hybrid propulsion systems in various maritime vessels (f.i. Yacht, passengers/research vessels)
  • Coordinate with multiple technical teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration of components
  • Collaborate with the project manager to achieve the project budget and ensure that project activities are aligned with the plan and financial targets
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and classification society requirements. And also adhere to health, safety, and environmental rules and policies at all locations
  • Organize and supervise the commissioning at the customer's site to validate the system before its delivery to the shipowner
  • During the warranty phase, analyze the systems during their operation with the aim of improving their performance and providing the customer with excellent quality systems.
