Work with managers and recruiting to maintain job descriptions
Write, update and manage human resource policies and procedures for the firm, ensuring that all policies are accurate and updated on all firm resources
Develop and administer programs, policies, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the firm
Deliver innovative solutions to meet firm needs; lead the development and implementation of a variety of human resources projects of broad scope
Assess the competitiveness of the firm’s compensation strategy through data-driven market research and completing and participation in industry salary surveys
Remain current on HR related and legal industry subject matter; recommend, evaluate and/or make changes appropriate changes to policies and procedures
Maintain positive working relationships with internal & external customers, and vendors
Provide leadership and overall development of direct reports

Qualifications and job-related skills:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a Human Resources emphasis
5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written
Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration
Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations
Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
Ability to identify and analyze issues and problems; recommend and implement solutions; and respond effectively to sensitive inquires and complaints
Practices a spirit of continuous improvement
Exercises flexibility and sound judgment at all times and in all situations
Ability to respond calmly, efficiently and effectively in stressful situations
Responsive, and ability to be available, including outside of regular business hours in an emergency or high priority situation
Ability to take ownership of special projects or make major contributions
