Requirements

  • Student working towards Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related major with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2025
  • Strong interest in pursuing data management/analysis/engineering as a career
  • Experience with data analysis on large data sets, identifying patterns and ensuring quality
  • Experience in process improvement, design, development, and deployment
  • Experience with data/metadata management and related technologies a plus
  • Experience with the following technology:
  • Project Management Tools (JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, SF Bello, MS Project)
  • ERP (e.g. SAP, Workday)
  • MS Office365 (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage projects scope and timeline
  • Strategic thinking skills, capable of managing complex and fast-moving projects
  • Strong analytical skills, utilizing SQL; Python or R a plus
  • Advanced organization and prioritization skills
  • Sufficient understanding of technology systems and the enterprise ecosystem to help overcome roadblocks
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Understanding of Agile Principles and how they’re applied in workplace culture
  • A fundamental understanding of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data management

Responsibilities

  • Define new data standards that will enable new capabilities within a domain or function or help to enhance the quality of an existing process
  • Deliver enhancements to data governance tools by participating in all scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, planning meetings, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).
  • Author new global reference data as a critical BAU (business as usual) activity that drives enterprise operations
  • Build new data quality rules to drive focus on continuous improvement to the quality of data used in critical enterprise processes
  • Directly support cross-domain strategic business initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to implement machine learning and/or artificial intelligence solutions as a part of data governance processes and tools to deliver increased efficiency and/or quality
  • Identify, remove and/or escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross-team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team’s ability to deliver commitments.
  • Partner with other Data Governance & Data Operations (DG&DO) colleagues that will provide direct support on business initiatives that require evolving master data processes, architecture, and metrics.
  • Partner with master and reference data leads across all domains to ensure DG&DO team business stakeholder needs are considered when designing future solutions and enhancements
  • Partner with Data Stewards to resolve any data quality concerns impacting DG&DO team business stakeholder systems and/or processes
  • Develop subject master expertise regarding how core master/reference data is structured and stored in book of record systems and then consumed downstream into core processes and systems
  • Collaborate with business and IT leads on project execution, including testing of new solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the overall DG&DO team and its various business stakeholders
