Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and confidential information
  • Experience in Entertainment (Vocal/Dance/Musical Theater)
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Strategic problem solver with creative problem-solving skills, strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, recent graduate, or graduate student
  • Major or previous coursework in Musical Theater, Arts, Entertainment or Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related major preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program
  • Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week)
  • Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area and have reliable transportation to/from work (We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida-based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities; for more information, click here)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of auditions for various roles, such as character performers, dancers, singers, and actors, and suggesting improvements to the candidate experience.
  • Working with Casting Marketing to develop targeted strategies and innovative ways for promoting audition opportunities via social media.
  • Evaluating online submissions and advising Casting Directors on whom to call back.
  • Participating in the production of virtual workshops and learning sessions to engage the Disney Auditions audience.
  • Applying creative sourcing methods to build talent pipelines and researching new markets to attract high-quality candidates for challenging roles like face characters and tumblers/gymnasts.
  • Through these efforts, you will help us streamline the audition process and improve the overall talent acquisition strategy.
