Description

  • This internship will be located in the New York City area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. 
  • The Graphics Operations Intern is responsible for the creative collaboration, technical assessment, and prioritization of a variety of still and motion graphics and graphics packages for use by the Warner Brother’s Discovery Marketing team. From a technical standpoint, they will work closely within the Marketing Operations Graphics team alongside our various business partners to assess, plan, deliver, and archive graphic-based content used across all A/V platforms. From an operational standpoint, they will aid the team on various updates to our processes which can include workflow documents, presentations, and other important team resources.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Adobe InDesign, and/or Avid Media Composer is a plus
  • Experience working with creative clients
  • Strong technical background as it relates to graphic design tools and workflows
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle many projects at once, pivot on a moment’s notice and remain organized and professional
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist editorial producers with the design and execution of both motion and still video graphics for lower tier campaigns.
  • Assess incoming After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Cinema 4D projects from outside vendors to ensure that those projects can be used in-house to create additional graphic elements and then work with those projects to provide secondary assets.
  • Work alongside other in-house design teams to organize toolkits, creative additional assets, send projects, and archive final renders.
  • Work with the key art team and/or archive servers to obtain layered files to extract items needed for video assets and/or title treatments.
  • Work closely with the Campaign Management team to prioritize graphics requests.
  • Maintain and regularly organize the HBO Marketing graphics servers to ensure that all projects and renders are accessible to all who need them and then are properly archived.
  • Aid the all members of the team on various projects relating to maintaining workflow documentation and resources when needed.
