What is the duration of the Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice program?
The apprenticeship program lasts for 3 years, during which you will participate in both on-the-job training and off-the-job training at the BMW Group Academy.

The off-the-job training will take place at the BMW Group Academy located in Berkshire.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this apprenticeship?
Applicants should have, or be predicted to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and one other subject.
Is financial support provided for travel and accommodation during training?
Yes, all training costs, including travel, accommodation, and food, are covered by the BMW Retailer.
Will I receive mentorship during my apprenticeship?
Yes, you will be assigned a mentor at your Retailer who will oversee your work-based learning programme.
How often will I visit the BMW Group Academy for training?
You will attend training at the BMW Group Academy approximately once every two to three months in one-week blocks.
What skills are desired for potential applicants?
Desired skills include good manual dexterity, a keen interest in automotive vehicles, honesty and trustworthiness, a positive attitude and work ethic, and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
What will I learn during the apprenticeship?
You will learn how to maintain, service, and repair vehicles to the high standards of the BMW/MINI brand, with a special emphasis on electronics and cutting-edge technology.
What are the future prospects after completing the apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will continue your development on the BMW Technical Programme.
