Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or related field; master’s preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-look-up, etc.)
  • Expertise in Alteryx, Python, PowerBI and Tableau will be an asset
  • 1-2 years’ previous experience in supplier relationship management, financial services, or procurement related field (nice to have)
  • Important Information:
  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role. 
  • You are currently pursuing a degree in a related field.

  • How You’ll Succeed:
  • Procurement Expertise (Nice to have) - You understand the organization’s procurement process, contract management and can assist in financial analysis/business case development. Identify ways to improve the operational relationship with a supplier. Develops and drives KPIs & business scorecards for enterprise-wide reporting. Develops working knowledge of the third party risk management process and requirements across the key risk categories.
  • Analysis - You'll perform both ongoing as well as ad-hoc analyses; provide analytical support to business lines' strategic projects and initiatives; identify ad-hoc analytical opportunities driven by insights derived from performing ongoing operational responsibilities, including assessing risk, contract and spend data for Procurement.
  • Consultation – You are able to understand business requirements and translates needs to technical solutions. Collaborates and communicates with procurement stakeholders using reports and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • A key purpose of the role is to perform in-depth financial/procurement analysis, data analysis, and effectively collaborating & communicating with procurement stakeholders and senior leaders of CIBC. The role will require the candidate to seek to improve existing processes and work collaboratively with various lines of business (LOB), procurement experts, operations and process engineering.
  • Also, you will become a member of our coveted Solutions Lab where you will work as a team to bring new perspectives to existing CIBC problems and help to suggest and implement solutions that will directly help CIBC’s Procurement team.
