Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Active enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in UX, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Sociology, Psychology, Information Sciences, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field or practical experience
  • Completion of a research methods course
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (i.e. Pendo, Google Analytics, Data Studio, LogRocket)
  • Familiarity with remote research tools (i.e. Userzoom Go, UserTesting, SurveyMonkey)
  • Team player with strong communication, collaboration and time management skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using analytics tools (i.e. Pendo, Google Analytics, Data Studio, LogRocket)
  • Experience cleaning and manipulating data in Excel and/or Google Sheets (i.e. VLookups, Pivot Tables
  • Competencies:
  • Strong ability to empathize with customers
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product life cycle
  • Knowledgeable and have a deep understanding of the user-centered design process
  • Excellent visual, written, and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative
  • Ability to quickly understand and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong eye for detail, initiative and committed to delivering high quality work independently or as part of a tea

Responsibilities

  • Rising Sophomore to Graduate Students currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Interns must be willing to attend a two-day orientation on Eastern Standard Time
  • Understand and translate business requirements into research
  • Contribute to the creation of user research test plans and protocols with appropriate research methods
  • Opportunity to support other researchers and participate in qualitative research methods
  • Collect and analyze user needs and behaviors via primary and secondary research (i.e. user interviews, surveys, analytics, usability testing, remote testing)
  • Leverage analytics tools (Pendo, Google Analytics, Data Studio) and quantitative techniques (benchmarking, survey design, data collection and visualization, descriptive statistics) to measure UX goals and metrics, determine opportunities, and support product decision-making
  • Build dashboards to track and report objectively on product performance
  • Share research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations
  • Create personas, user journeys, and flows to better understand our end users and communicate that understanding to our product teams
  • Work with designers, product managers, engineering, and developers to understand requirements and prioritize research findings in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to the growth of the GP design team
  • Keep abreast of industry and user experience trends, and best practices and promote research within the team
  • Drive and deliver an independent project related to our business needs
