Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and database management.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake solutions.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
  • Education:
  • Currently enrolled or graduated within the past six months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, logs).
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Data Transformation: Transform and clean data to ensure its quality, consistency, and usability for analytics and reporting.
  • Database Management: Administer and optimize databases for performance, security, and data integrity.
  • ETL Processes: Create and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move data between systems and perform transformations as necessary.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources and systems to create a unified and comprehensive view of the data.
  • Data Security: Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Set up monitoring tools to track data pipeline performance and resolve issues proactively.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for data processes, data lineage, and system architecture.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and support their projects.
