Requirements

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and database management.
Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus.
Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake solutions.
Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
Education:
Currently enrolled or graduated within the past six months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, logs).
Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Data Transformation: Transform and clean data to ensure its quality, consistency, and usability for analytics and reporting.
Database Management: Administer and optimize databases for performance, security, and data integrity.
ETL Processes: Create and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move data between systems and perform transformations as necessary.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources and systems to create a unified and comprehensive view of the data.
Data Security: Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Set up monitoring tools to track data pipeline performance and resolve issues proactively.
Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for data processes, data lineage, and system architecture.
Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and support their projects.
