Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Enrolled in a post-high school educational program (Community College, College, University, Trade, Online School, or equivalent) and returning back to the program for at least one semester post internship.
  • Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May-August 2025. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.
  • The Intern Program is based in our Burbank, California studios and will start in May 2025
  • Website and/or uploaded PDF portfolio (PDF can be uploaded via Googledrive link)
  • Character and/or environmental designs in a range of styles and archetypes, all with specific and clear personality, storytelling, and appeal
  • Work that demonstrates a wide range of techniques, from classical to stylized with strong sense of composition, color theory, and narrative (preferably with characters interacting in the environments)
  • Life drawings and sketches a plus
  • Upload Resume with month and year of expected graduation date
  • Upload Portfolio as a website and/or PDF uploaded via Googledrive link
  • Deadline for applications is January 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM PST.

Responsibilities

  • - Provide designs for characters, environments, costume, color, and cinematography.
  • - Inform story through drawings and paintings that depict mood, atmosphere, and staging.
  • - Provide inspiration for projects in development that illustrate visual potential and excitement.
  • - Pair with mentors from our talented Art department.
  • - Participate in educational seminars on craft and filmmaking.
  • - Work on individual and collective projects.
  • - Contribute to the creative process with immersive experiences.
