Responsibilities

  • Research Assistant Posts at the Law Commission - Criminal Law Team
  • Conduct research and consultations in order to make recommendations for reform for consideration by Parliament.
  • Codify the law, eliminate anomalies, repeal obsolete and unnecessary enactments and reduce the number of separate statutes.
  • Ensure that the law is fair, modern, simple and as cost-effective as possible.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and presentations related to legal reform.
  • Support the team in organizing and conducting public consultations and workshops.
  • Collaborate with legal experts and stakeholders to gather necessary information for legal research.
  • Analyze and synthesize complex legal information and present findings in a clear manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of research findings and project progress.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of project plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on legal issues and reform initiatives.
