What is the duration of the contract for the AML Investigator position?
The contract duration is 1 year.
Are there any specific work location requirements for this role?
This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work 3 days a week out of our Downtown Toronto office, with 4 days a week in the office initially for training.
What kind of investigations will the AML Investigator be conducting?
The AML Investigator will conduct periodic, quarterly, and annual AML/KYC reviews, perform enhanced due diligence activities, and analyze transactions to identify red flags indicative of criminal activity.
What qualifications are preferred for this position?
Preferred qualifications include being a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), or holding other recognized AML/Financial Crimes certifications.
What tools will the AML Investigator be expected to use?
The candidate should be familiar with screening and transaction monitoring tools such as SAS, Actimize, Oracle, World-check, Lexis Nexis, and Refinitiv.
What type of experience is required to apply for this position?
Candidates must have at least 2+ years of AML Investigation experience and experience managing alerts in a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) environment.
Is there any specific training provided for new hires?
Yes, initially, there will be 4 days of training in the office to help new hires acclimate to the systems and processes.
