Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Clinical and Quality teams to ensure EU and UK clinical sites are ready to implement AstraZeneca’s cell therapy clinical trials through training, mock runs, and other Ready-To-Enroll milestones.
  • Create patient scheduling processes for apheresis, manufacturing, and return of drug product to clinical sites.
  • Oversee logistics of Apheresis and Drug Product shipments to/from manufacturing sites, ensuring lanes are capable to deliver product within allowable shelf lives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing site for scheduling of manufacturing slots.
  • Adapt Chain of Identity (COI) and Chain of Custody (COC) processes to align to new international supply chain flows and local country requirements.
  • Set up and implement GMP operations at the EU and UK logistics depot for importation of Drug Product, QP Release, and further distribution to clinical sites.
  • Oversee selection, execution and performance of local logistics service providers, such as customs brokers and couriers.
  • Implement cell orchestration and SAP systems.
  • Support supply and logistics execution in other global regions for time zone and backup coverage.
  • Build a growing team to manage supply of cell therapy products to EU and UK.
