Responsibilities

  • This is a key role in the provision of an integrated specialist nursing service for residents requiring IV therapy who are registered with a GP in the London Borough of Ealing. This is a 7-day service from 9-5pm offering domiciliary visits.
  • The post holder will co-ordinate the delivery of IV therapy by the Adult Community Nursing Services and where possible it will be expected that the post holder will undertake the initial visits either alone or in conjunction with a member of one of the Community Nursing Teams.
  • The post holder will also co-ordinate the delivery of Community Phlebotomy supporting and leading in the development of the phlebotomy service in Ealing for housebound clients including those residing in care homes (residential). Facilitating the provision of high-quality care for clients within the community ensuring evidence-based practice and innovative models of care are always delivered. Evaluating clinical pathways, policies, and procedures for phlebotomy across primary and community care.
