Responsibilities

  • Stack and retrieve pallets via the WMS system
  • Check that stock being handled is undamaged and, using the WMS system, check product description, product code, best before end date and count are all correct
  • Operate a reach truck in accordance with company policy transporting, stacking and retrieving pallets of product within the Cold Store
  • To safely store and issue materials where and when needed using equipment safely and complying with safe working practices
  • To unload and book in deliveries to ensures that company standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained
  • Carry out stock movements as instructed in conjunction with company systems to ensure stock accuracy
  • Carry out daily safety checks to any equipment used in the area
  • Assists in stock counting duties as required
  • Report all accidents, incidents, damage or near misses, whether caused, found or witnessed. Report any faults or malfunctions with equipment to the Team Leader or Cold Store Supervisor
  • Make sure appropriate daily and weekly cleaning schedules are carried out to AIB Gold Standard and ensure that hygiene, Health and Safety, Food Safety standards are met
  • Assist with the training of any new operators as required
  • Promote and enforce behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical
  • Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any non-compliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy
