Responsibilities

  • Regularly cleans items (such as signs, ceiling vents, fans, walls, elevators, escalators, TV’s, light fixtures, windows, etc.) at heights ranging from ground level to 25 feet using a ladder or high lift
  • Scrubs, polishes, disinfects and wipes items, including trashcans, concrete, carpet, furniture and fixtures
  • Use heavy commercial/industrial equipment to clean floors, decks, carpets, sidewalks and parking areas
  • Use chemicals, cleansers and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company and read Material Safety Data Sheets written in the English language
  • Occasionally required to assist with the lifting and moving of heavy items including but not limited to furniture, boxes and other heavy or bulky items
  • Maintains and handles all equipment in a safe and responsible manner and reports any malfunctions or damage to equipment immediately to supervisor
  • Responsible for filling chemical bottles and preparing equipment as needed
  • Cleans, stores and maintains equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the training received from the department supervisor
  • Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials in accordance with OSHA training provided by the company
  • Performs other duties as assigned
