Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all loss prevention programs and the investigation of any illegal act, crime or violation of company policy across Universal Orlando.
  • Conducts investigations into guest and employee misconduct resort-wide including; theft, violations of company policy and other internal matters. Methodology includes collection of physical evidence, electronic and physical surveillance, conducting interviews utilizing the Wicklander-Zulawski Interview Method, obtaining written statements and completing case reports.
  • Direct Supervisor for all UO Loss Prevention programs and Officers. Responsible for the hiring, training, testing, scheduling, production and discipline of all daily work activities for officers assigned to anti-shoplifting, ticket audits, turnstile interdiction, competitive surveys and the internal integrity-shopping program. Specifically; work assignments, review and approval of reports, decisions regarding arrests, cash fund management, Kronos and attendance functions, resolution of employee complaints, quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
  • Rotational duty manager for all daily departmental activities which include, but are not limited to; daily supervision of scheduled Loss Prevention Officers, Ticket Specialists, Secret Shoppers, and Proactive (PA) Loss Prevention Officers, First responder to all Guest present counterfeit transactions, Ride accident investigations, uncooperative Guests including final authority to trespass or arrest, nightly cash fund reconciliation and all behavioral detection activities including predatory harassment, endangerment or terrorist activities that may arise.
  • Case management of all incidents from inception through final resolution. Installation and operation of all covert camera equipment, Briefings or presentation of subject matter or fact patterns to Human Resources, senior level management and, company attorneys. Preparation of court cases, evidence, witnesses and personal testimony for State or Federal Court. Liaison with City, County, and State Law enforcement agencies, FBI and Secret Service agents to assist with internal and external matters.
  • Provide Personal Protection for all Celebrity and Dignitary VIP’s on property to include advanced detail briefings with Private Security and Law Enforcement Officials assigned for protection.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
