What are the main duties of a Laboratory Assistant?
The main duties include operating the laboratory dishwasher, disposing of laboratory samples according to Health and Safety procedures, restocking laboratory glassware, assisting chemists and laboratory technicians, maintaining cleanliness, preparing and weighing various samples, performing basic instrument maintenance, and using IT for data recording and sample tracking.
What are the working hours for this position?
The working hours are either 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Is prior laboratory experience required for this role?
No prior laboratory experience is required, but production experience is necessary. Full in-house training will be provided.
Is this a permanent position?
The role is temporary for the first 12 weeks, after which there is a chance for it to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
What is the salary for this role?
The pay rate for this position is £11.44 per hour.
