What is the role of an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) in the MHST?
The role of an EMHP in the MHST is to provide early intervention to children and young people experiencing mild mental health difficulties through low-intensity therapy, primarily using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) both on a 1:1 basis and in group settings within educational environments.

The EMHP will work across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, supporting a cluster of around 20 schools and colleges in localities such as Oadby & Wigston and Blaby District.

Yes, a full UK driving license and access to a car during working hours are required, as travel is necessary within the designated areas of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
